Inventory and sales app for hardware shops in Kenya
A hardware shop sells hundreds of small items, some by the piece and some by the metre, kilo or litre. Hesabu keeps every item, its buying and selling price and what is left on the shelf, from your phone.
Sell the way hardware is sold
Each product has its own unit: pieces, metres, kilograms or litres. Sell 2.5 metres of pipe or 3.5 kilograms of nails and the stock goes down by exactly that amount.
Need to sell a product in smaller units as well, such as a half-metre or a cup of paint? Add the extra units with their own prices, and Hesabu takes the right amount out of stock.
Know what is running low
Set an alert level for every product. When cement, wire or hinges drop to that level, Hesabu shows them as running low, so you restock before a customer walks out empty-handed.
- Scan barcodes to sell, restock and count stock
- Import your product list from Excel instead of typing it
- Do a full stock count and see the difference from your records
Quotes and invoices for contractors
Contractors and builders often buy on account. Make a professional PDF invoice with your logo and your M-Pesa or bank details, share it on WhatsApp, and mark it paid in one tap. The items leave your stock automatically.
Your profit, not just your sales
Because you record the buying price of every item, Hesabu shows takings, cost and profit by day, week, month or year. Add rent, salaries and other expenses to see the real profit.
Try Hesabu free. Create a shop in a minute. It works on any phone, and no card is needed.

Can I sell cement or wire by the metre or kilo?
Yes. Choose metres, kilograms or litres as the unit when you add the product, and you can sell part amounts like 2.5.
Can my workers use it without seeing my buying prices?
Yes. Add your staff to your team and choose what each person can see. Cashiers never see your buying prices.
